Covid Restriction updates

Due to the new provicial COVID-19 restrictions, AYP has made the difficult decision to close our doors until the new year when we can reevaluate if our programs are safe to run. We are saddened by this, however the safety of our participants and staff are our priority. Although our doors will be closed, we will continue to be interactive with our families, as we will be delivering online programming over the next two weeks. The programs we will be running are as follows:

Online Art with AYP - Dec 1st and 8th from 4:15-5:15 PM

Online Homework Help - Dec 2nd and 9th, please message for a time slot

Online Junior High - Dec 3rd and 10th

from 4:15-5:15

Online Just Dance Party - Dec 7th, time TBD

To sign up for any of these programs please fill out the form

COVID PROGRAM UPDATE

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020-2021 PROGRAM CALENDAR IS NOW OPEN AND CAN BE ACCESSED HERE:

We are planning to continue running our after-school program either out of our office, or in Hairsine Community Centre as we can no longer operate in school gyms. In order to maintain cohorts, we are going to continue grouping participants by the school they attend. Each school will be scheduled to run on a two-week rotating schedule.

We will have a maximum of eight participants at each program and two staff. Mask wearing will be mandatory for the duration of the program by staff and participants. We will encourage frequent hand washing and have hand sanitizer available.

We are excited to announce some program changes. We have a new program- Mini Make Way For Play: a program for grades 1-3 centering around free play and imaginative creation! We have also redeveloped Healthy Heroes to have a sports component. Our fall art program will be drama focused, and the winter art program will be visual arts focused. We will continue to run our Homework Help, and Junior High programs as usual.

We are launching our registration on September 3 and are anticipating a week 1 program start the week of October 5 and a week 2 program start the week of October 12.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we are excited to continue to support your children and the community in a safe manner.
